Theft of $3k in Lottery Tickets in Hammond

November 01, 2017

Detective Travis Pittman, a financial crimes investigator with the Tanipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, has taken Charish Granier Watson into custody for allegedly stealing $21,00 in lottery tickets.

Ms. Watson, 41, apparently stole these tickets from her employer, a local convenience store in Hammond.  The theft was uncovered after a review of financial reports, video surveillance and scheduling records.  She confessed to the theft to her employer of the last four months, but said she had only cashed out approximately $3,000 in winnings.
