Bianka S. Hill, 25 years old, is set to stand trial for at least eight felony charges relating to identity theft. She allegedly stole credit card numbers from Ferndale residents during the time she was working as a temporary city customer representative.
She had been hired as a front-counter cashier and service assistant from the Robert Hall/ Account Temps company, city officials said
Ms. Hill waived her preliminary examination at 43rd District Court in Madison Heights, and she may wind up with a total of a dozen charges.
Her activities were first reported to Ferndale Police by a city resident. This does not appear to be a computer system breach, but directly related to someone who manually copied credit card information. It is alleged that Ms. Hill spent at least $2,000 using stolen credit card numbers.
