An employee who worked at the credit union was arrested for theft for stealing money from different customers, even one that was deceased.
p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:16px;font-family:Cambria;">Jennifer L. Sasso pleaded guilty of theft by unlawful taking and tampering with public records. This happened over a six month period according to online court records. Sasso was charged with taking exactly $143,450 from three separate accounts controlled by this office.
As part of her plea agreement, Sasso will give back $152,650 which will include the funds taken as well as an audit fee.
Sasso faces up to 10 years in jail, along with a $25,000 fine.
